Emergencies do not follow a schedule, and neither do we. Paws & Claws provides 24/7 emergency and critical care services staffed by experienced veterinarians and technicians who are trained to stabilize and treat the most urgent cases.
When to Seek Emergency Care
Bring your pet in immediately if you observe: difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, suspected poisoning, inability to urinate, seizures lasting more than two minutes, collapse or sudden weakness, abdominal bloating with retching, or traumatic injury such as being hit by a car.
Our Emergency Capabilities
Our emergency department is equipped with oxygen therapy, IV fluid management, blood transfusion capability, digital radiography, point-of-care ultrasound, and a full in-house laboratory that delivers results in minutes rather than days. This means faster diagnosis and faster treatment when every minute counts.
Critical Care Monitoring
Pets requiring overnight observation are monitored continuously by our trained overnight nursing staff. We provide regular updates to owners by phone and work closely with referral specialists when advanced imaging or procedures are needed.
